Podcaster Labels Chargers OC Mike McDaniel a ‘Geek’ After Peculiar Press Conference, Doubts Team’s Success
Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel’s eccentric press conference, where he wore sunglasses indoors, drew sharp criticism from podcaster Scott Wetzel, who labeled him a ‘geek’ and doubted the Chargers’ ability to win nine games. McDaniel, formerly the Dolphins’ head coach, had a mixed record with declining offensive metrics in his later years. Now working with quarterback Justin Herbert, the pressure is on McDaniel to improve the team’s performance and prove his critics wrong.
