Former Lions CB Jerry Jacobs Retires at 28, Leaving Detroit’s Defense with a Gap
Former Detroit Lions cornerback Jerry Jacobs has announced his retirement from the NFL at the age of 28. Having played three seasons with the Lions, Jacobs cited that it was simply “time” to step away, despite a strong 2023 performance. His departure means the Lions will need to continue fortifying their pass defense as they aim to return to the playoffs in upcoming seasons.
