English Football Leagues Reaffirm Mid-Match Ramadan Fasting Breaks for Players
The Premier League and English Football League (EFL) will continue to implement temporary breaks during matches to allow Muslim players to break their fast during Ramadan. This practice, initiated in 2021, will apply to evening kick-offs where sunset coincides with playtime. Club captains and match officials will coordinate these pauses at natural stoppages to support players observing the holy month.
