Wrexham’s Hollywood Owners Drive Record Revenue Amidst Championship Promotion Push
Wrexham AFC has achieved record turnover of £33.3m, driven by the global success of ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ and increased sponsorship, despite a significant rise in their wage bill. The club’s financial strategy, supported by Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, includes major stadium redevelopment and new investment, positioning them strongly for future growth.
While the club reported a loss of £14.85m, this is attributed to promotion bonuses and exceptional items, with Wrexham remaining compliant with financial regulations and confident about their Profit and Sustainability Rules standing.
