Veteran Roy Hodgson Embraces Bristol City Caretaker Role, Ending Retirement for ‘Unmissable Challenge’
Veteran manager Roy Hodgson, 78, has come out of retirement to take on a caretaker role at Bristol City until the end of the Championship season. He admitted missing coaching and found the challenge of returning to his former club too compelling to resist, despite being happily retired.
Hodgson will lead the struggling side for seven games, aiming to re-energize himself and instill valuable foundations, while stressing his commitment is strictly short-term.
