Unbelievable Comeback: Giants Erase 14-Point Deficit to Tie Commanders, Snapping 230-Game Skid
The New York Giants achieved a historic tie against the Washington Commanders in Week 5, battling back from a 14-point deficit with less than eight minutes remaining to force overtime. This improbable comeback snapped a 230-game trend where the Giants had previously never avoided a loss when trailing by that margin late in the game.
Quarterback Jameis Winston led the late surge with two crucial touchdown passes to Isaiah Likely and Malik Nabers, demonstrating the team’s renewed fighting spirit under their new leadership.
