Rockies Rotation Shuffle: Quintana Returns, Freeland to IL with Shoulder Inflammation
The Colorado Rockies reinstated Jose Quintana from the 15-day IL, giving him the nod to start against the Astros. Simultaneously, Kyle Freeland was placed on the IL with left shoulder inflammation, creating a void in the Rockies’ starting rotation.
Freeland had been a key contributor with a 2.30 ERA, making his loss a significant blow to the team’s pitching staff.
