Premier League Rocked by ‘Appalling Weekend’ of Racist Abuse Targeting Arokodare, Mundle, Fofana, and Mejbri
A dark cloud has fallen over the Premier League as Tolu Arokodare (Wolves) and Romaine Mundle (Sunderland) became the latest footballers to report receiving racist abuse on social media. Their experiences follow similar reports from Burnley’s Hannibal Mejbri and Chelsea’s Wesley Fofana, making it an “appalling weekend” with four top-tier players targeted.
Anti-discrimination group Kick It Out has condemned the incidents, stressing the urgent need for action from social media companies and authorities to combat this persistent issue.
