Maresca Tempers Title Excitement Despite Manchester City’s Goal-Filled Victory and League Lead
Enzo Maresca, Manchester City’s manager, has dismissed early title talk despite his team’s thrilling 5-3 victory over Sunderland, which placed them three points clear at the top of the Premier League. While pleased with the win and five goals scored, Maresca expressed a desire for tighter defensive performances, noting the three goals conceded after a run of four clean sheets. The chaotic match saw Brian Brobbey score a hat-trick for Sunderland, making him the first player in nearly two decades to achieve this for a losing side.
