March Madness Veterans: Ranking the Oldest Head Coaches Still Alive in the Sweet Sixteen
The Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Men’s Tournament features a number of veteran head coaches leading their teams. Rick Pitino (73) of St. John’s tops the list as the oldest, followed closely by Rick Barnes (71) of Tennessee, Tom Izzo (71) of Michigan State, Kelvin Sampson (70) of Houston, and John Calipari (67) of Arkansas.
