Manchester City Found Guilty of “Sham Contracts” and “Disguised Funding Scheme” Exceeding £830m
Manchester City has been found guilty by an independent commission of breaching Premier League financial rules over a decade, including the use of “sham contracts” to disguise over £830m in funding.
The club denies wrongdoing and plans to appeal, while the Premier League stated the ruling establishes the facts and vindicates their pursuit of the case. Sanctions will be determined in a separate hearing.
