Jets’ Draft Strategy: Could Tennessee Cornerback Be the Surprise Pick if Receiver Options Dry Up?
The New York Jets might consider Tennessee cornerback Colton Hood if their top wide receiver targets are unavailable in the first round of the NFL Draft. Hood’s physical style is seen as a perfect fit for defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn’s scheme.
This potential defensive selection would be a contingency plan if receiver options at pick No. 16 are exhausted, with Hughes suggesting the team could address receiver later in the draft or at No. 33.
