FA Cup Rule Change: Marc Guehi Cleared to Play for Manchester City Despite Palace Appearance

Marc Guehi is eligible to play for Manchester City in the FA Cup, despite having already featured for Crystal Palace in the competition this season. New FA rules for the 2025-26 season allow a player to represent one additional club in the competition proper, as long as it’s not in the same round.

This rule change has also benefited other clubs like Leeds United and Chelsea, allowing players such as Facundo Buonanotte and Yisa Alao to play for their new teams in the FA Cup.
