Chelsea’s Pursuit of Sunderland’s Xhaka Deemed ‘Closed’ by Manager Le Bris
Sunderland manager Régis Le Bris has firmly closed the door on Chelsea’s pursuit of captain Granit Xhaka, stating the player’s desire to remain at the club.
Despite an £8 million bid from Chelsea, Sunderland has rejected the offer, with Le Bris emphasizing Xhaka’s commitment and leadership role. The club also expects a quieter transfer window compared to last year, focusing on targeted acquisitions rather than a large-scale rebuild.
