Brazil Midfielder Oscar Forced into Retirement at 34 Due to Cardiac Issues
Brazilian midfielder Oscar has been forced to retire at the age of 34 after being diagnosed with cardiac problems following a fainting incident during a medical examination. The former Chelsea and Shanghai Port player spent five days in hospital and has been advised by doctors to end his playing career.
Oscar earned 48 caps for Brazil and enjoyed success in both England and China, winning league titles with Chelsea and Shanghai Port.
