Frances Tiafoe Soars 12 Spots in ATP Rankings Following Strict 4-Month Alcohol and Junk Food Ban
American tennis star Frances Tiafoe has attributed his recent 12-spot jump in the ATP rankings to a strict four-month ban on alcohol and junk food. Following a subpar 2025 season, Tiafoe committed to a rigorous diet and training regimen, which he says has made him feel “way leaner” and “way more consistent.”
This renewed discipline has already paid dividends in 2026, with strong performances at the Delray Beach Open, Mexico, and the Miami Open, propelling him from world No. 30 to No. 18. Tiafoe looks to continue this success as he prepares for the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship and the French Open.
