Spanish FA Denounces Racist Chants During Spain vs. Egypt Friendly
The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has issued a strong condemnation of anti-Muslim chants heard during a friendly match between Spain and Egypt. Stadium officials attempted to address the issue with announcements and messages, but the behavior persisted.
Coach Luis de la Fuente described the racist chants as “intolerable” and called for the perpetrators to be identified and removed from society. The incident occurred during a friendly match that was relocated and resulted in Spain losing its world number one ranking.
