Chelsea Hit with Record Fine Over Secret Payments, Avoids Points Deduction
Chelsea have been fined a record £10 million by the Premier League for making undisclosed payments to agents and third parties over several years. While a transfer ban was suspended, the club avoided a points deduction due to their self-reporting of the breaches. A separate academy transfer ban of nine months was also imposed.
