Beard No More! Oxford Fan Shaves After 675-Day Penalty Drought Ends
An Oxford United fan, known as Fred Big-Ox, fulfilled a 675-day vow and shaved his beard after the team was finally awarded a penalty. Gary Hudson had been sporting a yellow wig and blue beard to raise money for a mental health charity during the penalty drought.
The penalty, scored by Cameron Brannagan, ended a remarkable run without a spot-kick and allowed Hudson to finally end his unusual commitment.
