Backlash Mounts Against ESPN’s Holly Rowe Amid Arch Manning AI Video Controversy
Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning’s comment about a fake AI video depicting coach Steve Sarkisian slapping ESPN reporter Holly Rowe sparked a major controversy. After Manning apologized for finding the video “hilarious,” Rowe accepted, but her handling of the situation drew significant criticism from college football fans and pundits.
Many argued that Rowe’s actions were an overreaction and that Manning, a young player, was unduly pressured into apologizing for an innocent remark about a clearly fake video, while others debated the broader implications for women in sports media.
