Jaissle Sees Positives Despite Newcastle’s Pre-Season Loss to Leverkusen
Newcastle United fell 2-1 to Bayer Leverkusen in a pre-season friendly, with new head coach Matthias Jaissle highlighting the positives despite the loss. Youngster Mason Miley impressed at right-back, and Malick Thiaw scored the equalizer.
Jaissle remains optimistic about the team’s prospects and the ongoing transition, despite the clear need for reinforcements in midfield and attack ahead of the Premier League season opener.
