Dick Advocaat has resigned as head coach of Curaçao for personal reasons, believed to be his daughter’s health, before the country’s historic first World Cup campaign. The 78-year-old, who called the qualification the ‘craziest thing’ in his career, will be replaced by Fred Rutten. Curaçao is set to play Germany in their opening World Cup match.
