Adam Silver: Caitlin Clark is a ‘Political Football,’ Unfairly Targeted
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver believes Caitlin Clark is unfairly being used as a ‘political football’ due to the controversy surrounding an incident with Alyssa Thomas. Silver feels the WNBA mishandled the situation, placing undue pressure on Clark.
He stated that the focus on the foul has become a ‘separate storyline,’ detracting from Clark’s game and her role in promoting women’s basketball. Silver emphasized the need for better officiating and acknowledged the league’s efforts to curb online toxicity.
