Atletico Madrid Rejects Staggering £129M Real Madrid Bid for Star Striker Julián Alvarez
Real Madrid’s staggering €150 million (£129.4 million) bid for Atlético Madrid’s star striker Julián Alvarez has been emphatically rejected by their city rivals. Alvarez, who has scored 49 goals in 106 appearances for Atlético, is reportedly seeking a move despite his contract running until 2030.
The rejection was met with a sarcastic public statement from Atlético, intensifying the rivalry between the clubs. This transfer saga unfolds as Real Madrid prepares for a coaching change, with José Mourinho set to return after leaving Benfica, while Álvaro Arbeloa departs the club.
