Scotland Players Unaware of Israel Boycott Discussions Amidst FIFA World Cup Qualifiers
Scotland’s women’s football team players have not discussed boycotting their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Israel. Midfielder Christy Grimshaw confirmed the squad’s focus is on the matches, which will be played in Hungary due to security reasons.
Grimshaw acknowledged awareness of similar situations faced by other nations but emphasized the team’s professional duty to play and perform, despite the non-ideal circumstances of neutral venues and playing behind closed doors.
