Kendrick Perkins Blasts ‘Scared’ Chet Holmgren, Urges Thunder to Pursue Giannis After Wembanyama ‘Punking’
ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins harshly criticized Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star Chet Holmgren for his poor performance against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Finals, specifically highlighting a four-point dud in Game 7.
Perkins accused Holmgren of being ‘punked’ and ‘scared to compete’ by Wembanyama throughout the series, suggesting Thunder GM Sam Presti must make “real business decisions.” He provocatively advised the Thunder to consider trading Holmgren for a superstar like Giannis Antetokounmpo, who could better contend with Wembanyama.
