St. Louis Blues Initiate Coaching Shake-Up: Julien and Weber Depart After Playoff Absence

The St. Louis Blues have announced the departure of assistant coaches Claude Julien and Mike Weber as their contracts will not be renewed. This significant coaching staff shake-up comes after the team failed to qualify for the playoffs in the 2025-26 season, finishing fifth in the Central Division. General Manager Doug Armstrong stated the organization is looking to build a new coaching staff better suited to lead the team moving forward, giving head coach Jim Montgomery an opportunity to construct his own team.
