Emotional First Win for Connor Zilisch in 2026 After Battling Adversity at Bristol
Connor Zilisch captured his emotional first win of the 2026 NASCAR season at Bristol, overcoming a challenging start to his Cup Series career. He narrowly edged out Kyle Larson after the veteran made a late-race mistake.
The victory was significantly influenced by a strategic pit call from crew chief Rodney Childers, which allowed Zilisch to gain track position and hold off Larson in the final laps.
