Duke’s Cameron Boozer Claims Prestigious John R. Wooden Award
Duke freshman Cameron Boozer has won the 2026 John R. Wooden Award, becoming only the fifth freshman ever to earn the prestigious honor. He joins a distinguished list of Duke alumni who have received the award, extending the program’s record as the leader in Wooden Award recipients. Boozer’s outstanding freshman season included averages of 22.5 points and 10.2 rebounds, leading Duke to a 35-3 record and an Elite Eight appearance.
